    TUV Rheinland OpenSky is looking for an experienced network security engineer with a solid consultative background in design and delivery to support the firewall and routing infrastructure for a large enterprise client. The consultant will be part of the client’s network team providing support for cloud and WAN firewall and DNS requests, changes and troubleshooting. It is expected that the consultant will be local to the client’s CT office location for most of the engagement.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide implementation, configuration and production support activities for an existing Check Point and Cisco ASA firewall infrastructure.
    • Provide support for client service requests for firewall and DNS changes.
    • Participate in related projects and activities with the network support team as time and background permit.

    Required Skills:

    • 2 or more years of background supporting Cisco-based routing and switching infrastructure in large enterprise environments
    • Solid experience in large enterprise WAN routing
    • Solid experience configuring and supporting either Check Point or Cisco ASA firewall infrastructure
    • Good verbal and written documentation skills
    • Must be a strong self-starter and able to balance multiple concurrent activities
    • Ability to collaborate and work on a team

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in implementation of automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce time required for change implementation
    • Experience working with cloud network infrastructure with any cloud provider such as AWS and Microsoft Azure

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

    Preferred Education:

    • Cisco or Checkpoint certifications
