    TUV Rheinland OpenSky is looking for a well-rounded advisory consultant with a solid understanding of Cloud and hybrid infrastructure transformation.  The ideal candidate would have deep and current architecture experience in virtualization (server, application, and desktop) and related cloud domains (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud integration, work load migration).  You should be comfortable architecting, designing, and configuring virtualization systems. Integration and migration experience with storage subsystems such as NetApp, IBM and EMC is a strong plus as is experience migrating and managing workloads in hosted environments including IaaS and SaaS..

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Guide and advise customers with technical and business dimensions of technology management related to both cloud and hybrid infrastructure services, workload migration and IT transformation.
    • Advise customers on related technology areas such as Cloud (public, private and hybrid), storage and networking infrastructure.
    • Provide technical and engineering services in areas of expertise including creation and implementation of architectures
    • Strong collaboration, written and verbal presentation skills are a must.

    Required Skills:

    • Design, implement and migrate to/from cloud and hybrid environments based on VMware or Hyper-V
    • Experience with migrations such as application, data center or cloud migrations.
    • Practical experience and exposure to highly virtualized environments, particularly in the building, deploying, scaling, managing and optimizing large virtualized hosting infrastructure
    • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, strong sense of teamwork and attention to detail
    • Strong written and oral communications.
    • Strong documentation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Demonstrated organization and planning skills
    • Flexibility to travel as needed
    • Track record of setting and consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectation

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with AWS and Azure clouds is a plus
    • MS Azure Architecture certificate is highly desirable
    • AWS Certified Professional – Architect is highly desirable.
    • VCP5/6-DCV or VCAP5/6-DCD highly desirable

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

    Preferred Education:

    • AWS, Azure, and  VMware Certifications

    Travel Required:

    • 50% US Travel
