    TUV Rheinland OpenSky has an opportunity for an associate consultant to join our Cybersecurity Testing Team. This position will be focused on delivery of key offensive security services offered including network and web application penetration testing, mobile and IoT device Penetration testing, Wireless Penetration testing, and more.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delivery of Cybersecurity Testing services as needed (i.e., Network Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, Web Application Assessment, etc.  
    • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the company’s Cybersecurity Testing capabilities through the development and implementation of improved methodology, processes, infrastructure, tools, and deliverables.
    • Present and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to client’s management, business stakeholders, security team members, and IT resources.

    Required Skills:

    • 0-2 years’ experience in information security, development, IT or other technology field
    • Independent study or hands on experience in offensive security testing of infrastructure, network, applications, devices or other types of testing
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
    • Ability to work independently with directional guidance, as well as, part of a team
    • Self-directed learner
    • Able to maintain productivity and responsiveness in a remote work environment

    Preferred skills:

    • Hands on experience with scripting languages
    • Offensive security certifications, such as: GIAC GPEN, GIAC GWAPT, CEH, OSCP, etc.
    • Familiarity with Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual (OSSTMM), Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTED) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications
    • Previous experience with information security, network security, Windows security, UNIX/Linux security, web application security, and wireless security.

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, telecommunications, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience

    Preferred Education:

    • Master’s Degree, CISSP certification

    Travel Required:

    • Up to 50% US travel
