About the Opportunity

 

A client in Western New England has a role for an experienced Network Security Consultant with experience in the design and deployment of the enterprise Cisco ISE platform.  The consultant in this 8 week role will work with the client's security and network engineering personnel to set up and test new instances of the Cisco ISE platform.  The project will require a solid knowledge of Cisco ISE, advanced route/switch, wireless, Cisco and third-party security products. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical leadership for the Cisco Identity Services (ISE) Security Consulting Services project, serving as the lead technical resource.
  • "Stand up" two instances of the Cisco ISE platform, including configuration and lab testing of instances
  • Work with client personnel to ensure that client security requirements are met with the planned implementations
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the customer.
  • Perform analysis of any networking problems as well as provide highest-level crisis management.
  • Demonstrate expert level knowledge of network topologies and conditions. Ensure changes to network topologies are made with minimal down-time.
  • Engineer, configure and lead the design, configuration and deployment of Cisco ISE.
  • Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals.  

Required Skills:

  • Experience designing and deploying network and security services for large organizations required.
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) implementation experience required.
  • Solid experience configuring, deploying, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.

Desired Skills:

  • Cisco Wireless experience desired.
  • CCNP or CCNP Security preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
